Today in math we corrected our homework in lesson 5 on estimating products. We looked at exercises 3, 4, 5, 6 & 8 on the board to allow students to correct their errors if necessary. We continued into lesson 8 which is the multiplication strategy that we are all familiar with; however, this is new to the grade 4 class and I spent a large part of the class explaining this strategy to them and doing multiple execises on the board. I gave them a little time in class to start their individual practice to allow them to ask questions if necessary. They will need to finish for homework exercises 3, 4, 6, 7 & 8 on page 336.
The grade four Oratorical was this morning. All our finalists did a great job! Congratulations on a wonderful presentation of your poems!
In health we continued with our unit on digestion. Today we read and discussed the importance of our teeth in the process of digestion.
