It is hard to believe that it is May 1st!  The sun is shining but it was a cold day outside.

To start the day the class had gym outside (BRRR!) and music.  Please ensure that your child is wearing the necessary attire for outside.  With the wind coming off the water, it gets very cold outside.

Today in math we looked at lesson 7 in chapter 9.  This lesson teaches the same concept as lesson 4 but we have moved from multiplying two digit by one digit to three digit by one digit.  To complete the exercises in this lesson, there is just one extra step.  The class quickly understood this lesson after a few examples on the board.  For individual practice I assigned exercises 3, 4, 5 and 8 on page 332.  Those who did not finish in class will need to finish for homework.

In French, we continued with our writing piece based on La ronde des papillons.  We are just in the beginning stages of this essay and will spend the rest of the week in our French class working on this assignment.

After lunch we were very fortunate to be invited to the gym to watch a fantastic performance of a group named Duo Concerto sponsered by the Tuckamore Music.

To finish the day the class worked on finishing their health projects on preparing a healthy meal and activities for a family picnic.

Please note that your child was given a newsletter concerning a project we will be doing in class.  Please complete the top portion and return with your child ASAP.
