Today in math we looked at the last lesson in chapter 6, solving probelms by working backwards. I taught the class to do this using a simple visual representation. We looked at how to read the problem and break it into smaller steps. Problem solving is always a more difficult task for the students. We completed several examples together, then the class was assigned two exercises to complete individually. Tomorrow we will review these together and start our review for our test. Our chapter test will be Tuesday, March 7.
In religion, the class completed their activity sheets on Shrove Tuesday and Lent.
In sciences, we continued our discussion of sound. Today we talked about noise pollution. We talked about how noise, if too loud, can potentially damage the hear.
We also had our Sweat-a-thon this morning. The class really enjoyed this exercise break!
In social studies, we worked on our social studies project. The majority of the class finished their explorer project today!
To end the day we went to the library to exchange our library books.
Science projects are due TOMORROW, Friday, March 3rd! I’m looking forward to seeing what the students have created.
