It is hard to believe that today is the last day of February! Term two is almost complete. Reports will go home on March 14th.
Today in math we corrected our homework from yesterday that talks about dividing using related multiplication facts. I corrected each question on the board and asked if there were any questions. I reviewed the strategies in lesson 7 and 8 and the class completed a math journal as a mini-assessment on these two lessons. We are almost finish chapter 6 on multiplication. Our chapter test will be on Tuesday, March 7th!
In language arts, we read two more chapters in Varjak Paw. In chapter 25 we learned the Sixth Skill! Ask your child to explain what the Sixth Skill is. In chapter 26, Varjak finally meets a real dog! This dog named Cludge is an important part of the story. Ask your child why.
The class had choir this afternoon.
In social studies, they continued to work on their explorer project. Most students have gathered the necessary information and are moved on to writing and creating their pop-up card. Here is an example!
Our Sweat-a-thon has been reschedule to Thursday, March 2nd of this week.
Grade 4 immunizations will happen this Friday, March 3rd.
